In our urban environment as well as the mountains and valleys, trees of many varieties thrive. Some are natural and some are from distant locations. When they die, either at the hands of man or natural causes, we are left with a valuable resource. All wood has value, some are well known like redwood and walnut. Most others are sent to the dump or cut up for fire wood.

Part of Joinery Structures’ practice is to salvage this wood and make it into useful objects. Here is the story of how a log is processed into lumber.
